Overview
The Battle of Gallipoli was a very significant event for New Zealanders. April 25th 1915, ANZACs landed in the Gallipoli Peninsula and experienced everything horrific they could imagine. The Gallipoli Campaign was the biggest event in history of New Zealand during that time; an event that New Zealanders could not forget. Thousands of New Zealand men lost in battle, Women transitioning into the workforce, forms of national identity and independence was born. The Battle of Gallipoli was a day of courage, bravery, loyalty, death, suffrage and sacrifice made for the Empire.
